Kaia(Jiho) Shin is a multidisciplinary designer based in New York and Seoul, with a primary focus on UI/UX and interaction design. Born and raised in South Korea, she earned her first bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at Yonsei University. Through her academic background, Kaia developed a strong foundation in analyzing and interpreting narratives, structures, and cultural contexts across disciplines.
Previously, her work centered on understanding how meaning is constructed through language, media, and systems. Now, she applies this analytical and theoretical foundation to designing digital experiences that prioritize clarity, empathy, and human-centered experience. Kaia is currently pursuing a BFA in Design at the School of Visual Arts, where she continues to explore the relationship between storytelling, systems, and visual communication.
Her practice is shaped by experience working across the U.S. and South Korea, spanning product design, branding, and graphic design. By integrating critical thinking with hands-on design practice, Kaia aims to create thoughtful, intuitive interfaces that bridge people, technology, and culture.
